Nesting season is a great time to photograph birds in flight. This gangly wood stork was very busy gathering material for its nest.

I think Tri-Colored Herons are the most beautiful fishing bird I have photographed.

These comical birds make some of the most interesting photographic subjects. They are so animated they can be difficult to photograph but if you catch them just right the images are a joy to view. I think they are most dramatic in slightly diffused sunlight but proper exposures are tricky.

Viera is a new town in central Florida along I-95. There is a water treatment facility located on the outskirts of town (commonly referred to as a sewage treatment plant).
