My favorite overlook on Beaver Lake
Normally you want to photograph landscapes within an hour of sunrise or sunset to capture the best light. This is a good example of an image that breaks this rule. Direct sunlight with high contrast shadows in the foliage create textures that anchor the image. Puffy, layered clouds with clear sky above adds to the overall depth of this wonderful overlook. Within 30 minutes the clouds totally disappeared.
I am preparing this image for a conference room size print and thought it would be nice to share some high resolution wallpaper.
