One of my favorite locations to photograph flowing water is in the Tremont area of the Smoky Mountain National Park. The foliage looks like fall color but it was taken last week which was early spring. Maple trees show their colors for only a week or two in the spring before turning completely green. I was delighted to have Gale Rainwater travel with me to the Smokys this trip, he is an excellent photographer, friend and all round nice guy. Be sure to check out his photography blog. If you look closely, you’ll also see a very talented Florida photographer Paul Marcellini trying to duck out of my image. :)
They say photography is all about capturing light and I feel this image has wonderful lighting.

Just beautiful Ed, Great job on the colors and white balance, they really oop!
Thanks Gale. It was a fun trip but a few days too short.
